Nadya Ankohma Aboah, MSc International Marketing Strategy student

My friend studied here, and she recommended it. I’d recommend it too; I have an awesome timetable which is structured to allow for personal time, and you can access notes online to supplement your learning.

I get lots of support on my course. The tutors care about me and see me as a person.

I want to own an event planning business and ultimately give back to my own country. One of my first modules introduced us to essential skills like tracking online analytics and how to drive traffic.

There are great local Ghanaian amenities – shops, restaurants, beauticians and a church. I like Tiptoe restaurant which serves Waakye cuisine. I’d recommend them all, and they remind me of home. My friends studying in Paris and London don’t get access to this!

    Student Story

kenyan international student, marie king, on campus graduating from international business ba

“I chose the University of Northampton because of the course and the fact that it offered travel alongside studying, which I thought was quite exciting. So, I thought, why not take advantage of the opportunity and learn here? I had also met a representative of the University at a Higher Education fair in Nairobi.

I was quite stressed about that at the beginning, but coming to the University, it was a home away from home because I arrived here, there was a friendly atmosphere and I settled into my course really easily.”

Bhouvnessuree Bhowaneesing, first year LLB student

“My experience at the University has been amazing. I have never been exposed to so many resources which I am taking full advantage of, right now. I have amazing and supportive tutors and I love participating in their classes. Also, the staffs are very helpful and friendly. I made a lot of good friends; I’m working for the Law Society as Secretary and am a member of other societies. Apart from that, the accommodations are comfortable and beautiful with the town centre at a walking distance. I totally think that I’ve made the right decision to choose the University of Northampton to study my course.”

“I attended an Open Day with my family – I was amazed by the campus and how developed it was. I attended a class which was hugely influential – it was so easy to imagine myself here. It’s the best place to study a specialised degree with diverse course options; it’s modern, forward thinking.

My South African NSC qualification was recognised here – that’s not always the case with other unis and being awarded the 20% scholarship made it a feasible option.

I love the social life here. It’s so easy to make friends. The International Welcome Week was great for this.

I hope to take a placement year in Switzerland and then study a Masters in Business.”

    – Rory Hutchison, BA Advertising & Digital Marketing.

    Student Story

‘’I chose the University of Northampton as its centrally located in the UK. London and Birmingham are relatively close so I can often visit. My course is accredited by the British Psychology Society and the University gave me a scholarship for a part of the tuition fees. Aside from study, I am part of the Political Debate Society, The Christian Union and I volunteer for Eveda, a domestic abuse support organisation. My volunteering role will give me a competitive edge when I start looking for jobs. The University are excellent at helping with employability.’’
