Campus Tours

Join us for a Waterside campus tour

Attending a campus tour is a great way to get a feel for what it’s like to study at UON.

Campus tours at our Waterside Campus typically run every week on Wednesdays and Thursdays. New dates for booking are released on a weekly rolling basis.

If the days available don’t suit, if you would like a bespoke tour to see your course facilities, or if you would like to have a tour of the course spaces at the Innovation Centre or Development Hub, drop us an email to events@northampton.ac.uk. We typically need at least two full working days notice and can usually offer tours Monday – Friday 9.30am – 4pm.

Tours take approximately 1 hour (bespoke tours may take longer) and spaces are limited as we keep tour group numbers small. Information about how to get to our campus will be sent to you in your booking confirmation. Please note that these are in person campus tours and not held virtually.

Campus tours are not full open days. Visit our open day page for upcoming dates and more information.

Accessible events

We endeavour to make all our events completely accessible. However, if you have any specific needs or require additional facilities, please inform us on 01604 892568 or events@northampton.ac.uk so we can ensure your visit is as easy as possible.

Can’t travel to campus?

If you cannot come onto the campus to visit us, try our Virtual Tour. This will give you the opportunity to explore our campus, facilities and accommodation from the comfort of your own home.

Campus Tours FAQs

  • A campus tour is a fantastic opportunity to really get to grips with what life at the University of Northampton is like. As well as showing you our purpose built Waterside campus, we want to make sure your course queries are covered. Where possible we will try to arrange for an ambassador studying your subject of interest to lead your tour.

So that we can do our best to arrange this, make sure you tell us what you would like to study when you book. You can browse our courses on our website. If we can’t arrange a subject specific tour guide, we will offer to arrange for someone from the course to contact you at a time to suit.

If you would like to speak to a member of our student services team or a course academic during your visit, please email events@northampton.ac.uk  to discuss further. In some instances where face to face meetings aren’t possible during the tour, follow up phone calls will be arranged so we can ensure all your questions are answered.

We have a show room of our large en-suite Waterside accommodation on site. During your campus tour, you will have the chance to see these in person. You can also see our full range of accommodation on our virtual tour.

  • Our course facilities are often in use for teaching but if you particularly want to see a specific area, then please email events@northampton.ac.uk to discuss further.

  • It can be very helpful to have a second opinion from someone you trust. That’s why you are very welcome to bring guests along.

  • Check out our find us web pages for more information on travelling to Waterside.

  • Campus tours are for our main Waterside Campus where we have a dedicated small purpose built show room which is unoccupied.

If you specifically want to see inside ‘lived in’ accommodation come along to one of our open days where you will be able to view a Townhouse show room, a large en-suite Waterside Halls of Residence show room and a St John’s Halls of Residence show room.

All our room types can be viewed on our virtual tour.
