UON Off-campus accommodation

Scholars Green Student Village (NN2 7AL) is situated in the nearby suburb of Kingsthorpe, so is suitable for those who would like a quieter living environment or have a tighter budget.

Situated approximately 4.5 miles from Waterside, our student village has a free Stagecoach bus service which runs frequently to the campus; as well as a convenience store and postroom, and halls facilities and services.

If living in Scholars Green Student Village, you can apply for a specific parking permit so you can bring your car to halls.

Scholars Green Halls (Simon Senlis, Spencer Perceval, and William Carey) rooms include single en-suites with communal kitchen, and twin en-suite ‘bedsits’; Simon Senlis also offers single studio flats.

Scholars Green Student Accommodation Important Information:

Scholars Green is available only to students starting at the University in the 2026/27 academic year (September 2026 or January 2027).

• Accommodation is offered for a single fixed contract period only (42 weeks and 5 days for September starters).
• No extensions or further years of residence will be available.
• The University offers other accommodation options, and the Residential Life Team can support students in finding suitable private housing for subsequent years.
