Engineering is an evolving sector that needs engineers with a wide variety of knowledge and skills. Our Engineering course will give you the foundations, key principles and professional skills you need in modern engineering and related industries. Our staff have significant industrial experience and use the latest learning and teaching technology.

Further Study
Once you finish the HND, you have the choice to top up your qualification to the full BSc, through our BSc Engineering (Top-up).
Course Details
In your second year you have the chance to do an optional industrial placement with your employer, an independently sourced placement or a paid placement through the Northants Engineering Training Partnership (NETP). Formed in 1988 as a limited company, the NETP is collaboration between The University of Northampton and local engineering companies, which provide paid placements opportunities for University students. Entry Requirements
Standard entry requirements apply. A typical offer could be DEE at A-Level or MPP at BTEC. We welcome international applicants and applications from students with a range of non-traditional educational or professional qualifications.

English Language Requirements
All International and EU students applying for a course with us must meet the following minimum English language requirements:
- IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5.5 in all bands
for study at undergraduate level.
