You will develop comprehensive knowledge on how to identify and assess the health needs of a target population. This module will be delivered by a range of teaching methods such as core lectures, group work, online activities, use of case studies and directed learning approaches. Shared learning with other professionals will be a focus of this course and you will be encouraged to develop a critical evaluative approach to the knowledge which underpins present-day public health practice.
Teaching for this module is a blend of face to face and online sessions. Module assessment strategy will be to design a small-scale intervention for an identified health need for a target population along with a 40-minute oral presentation of the designed health needs intervention, while ensuring all module learning outcomes are met.
