This level 7 course has been specifically designed to provide practitioners with the tools, insights and perspectives to drive innovation within contemporary health and/or social care settings.
You would be required to attend all lessons at Waterside campus for a face to face delivery. You will also be expected to do approximately 3 hours of self-directed study each week.

You will examine transformative practice through appreciation of the complexities of the healthcare industry, examining its structure, challenges, and the opportunities for transformation. The importance of education in relation to influence and transformation will be considered. Problem solving approaches and continuing professional development of self and others will be explored.
Assessment of this level 7, 20 credit module, is a written evidence-based workplace improvement plan incorporating a strategy for identifying and addressing educational and developmental needs.
Students will be required to attend all the taught days at Waterside and online and engage in the pre-reading / work each week. You would be required to attend for 6 days; 3 days will be at Waterside and 3 days will be virtual delivery. You will also be expected to do approximately 3 hours of self-directed study each week
This module will examine the role of education in personal and team transformation and explore how this can be made more effective. The module is not aimed at helping students to become teachers, if you are looking for a teaching qualification then Post Graduate Certificate in Practice Education may be more appropriate.
Whilst this module will analyse the role of the leader as an educator and influencer in transformative practice, students do not need to be or aspire to be leaders in order to undertake this course or influence change. This module is not specifically aimed at preparing individuals to become leaders. If you are looking for a leadership module than Leading Innovative Specialist Practice may be more appropriate.
Unless you are completing this module as part of the Advanced Clinical Practice award you do not need to working in a patient facing role, this module is assessed via completion of a written assignment only.
