    Subject Information

    • You will have the opportunity to work across a wide range of digital platforms as well as traditional media as you develop and execute real campaigns on your course. Our advertising and marketing degree courses provide numerous opportunities for work experience, input from industry professionals and we encourage our student community to cross-year collaborate.

Students on a three-year single honours programme at undergraduate level will benefit from undertaking a year-long placement between Stages Two and Three of their study. These placements provide invaluable experiences for those who meet the entry criteria, allowing them to apply their learning and prepare for their future career path. We offer support to help you find the right placement to suit you, whether it be based in the UK or overseas.

    • We ask that all applicants for our marketing and advertising courses meet the standard entry requirements for their chosen program. It is also recommended that students read the entry requirements on each course page, as further requirements can apply and may vary.

You can find more information on the specific entry requirements on the course pages found above.

    • Graduates from the University of Northampton’s advertising and marketing courses have gone on to work in a wide range of companies and in a diverse array of roles. Common marketing and advertising jobs for graduates include Account Executive, Digital Display Executive, Media Planner, Press Assistant, Branding and Strategy Assistant, Copywriter and Social Media Coordinator, amongst others.

We’re so confident that our advertising and marketing graduates will find employment that we have introduced our Northampton Employment Promise. Once you have successfully completed your studies with a 2:2 or above degree classification and completed one of our flagship awards, we will offer support and secure you a three-six month paid internship if you haven’t found paid experience within a year of graduation. You can find out more on our Northampton Employment Promise page.
