We guarantee a room in our Halls of Residence for all new full-time, first year students (including clearing applicants) starting with us in September 2026* who apply and accept their room offer by the date that applies to their status**. Clearing Accommodation Guarantee

We guarantee a room in our Halls of Residence for all offer holders (including clearing applicants) starting with us in September 2026* who apply and accept their room offer by the date provided in their accommodation offer**.

If you are a clearing applicant and hold an Unconditional Firm offer at the University of Northampton, we will contact you by email to invite you to apply for a place in Halls. You will need to register for the accommodation portal and then make your application.

International Students Guarantee

To be eligible for this guarantee, you need to hold a conditional or unconditional offer for September 2026*, and pay your tuition deposit as stated on your offer letter**.

After we have received your tuition fee deposit, we will contact you by email to invite you to apply for a place in Halls. You will need to register for the accommodation portal and then make your application.

Our Accommodation

At Northampton we have excellent student accommodation to suit all needs and price requirements, including at our Waterside campus or 5 mins walk away in Northampton Town Centre at St Johns Halls of Residence. We also have excellent value ensuite rooms at our Scholars Green Student Village. Scholars Green has a free shuttle bus service and car parking permits available.

No accommodation deposit required

We recognise the significant challenges families are facing due to the rising cost of living, and we won’t be asking students joining us in September 2026* to pay an upfront accommodation deposit when reserving a place in our Halls of Residence.

Please note: Applicants are not guaranteed their first-choice room, room type or specific location. Room types are allocated as applications are received – so we recommend to apply as soon as you are ready to make your Firm choice decision and then receive your invitation from University of Northampton (UON) to apply for Halls/Accommodation

Please be aware that to ensure the guarantee, you will need to confirm that you accept the room offer from UON by the stated deadline.
