Bank statement requirement for Student Visa Holders
Financial Requirement
You must have sufficient funds to cover both your tuition fees and your living costs while studying in the UK. The financial requirement is for student applicants to demonstrate they have enough funds to support themselves for each month of their course (up to nine months).
To meet the financial requirements, you must have held the required minimum balance in your bank account for at least 28 days before you submit your application.
You must submit the visa application within 31 days of your bank document being issued. The submission date for your visa application is the date that you pay your application fee online.
It is important that you adhere to these terms as failing to do so could lead to a visa refusal.
Tuition fees
You must have enough money to pay any outstanding tuition fees for your first academic year (up to a maximum of nine months). The amount required will be stated on your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).
If you have been living in the UK with valid immigration permission for at least 12 months at the time of your student visa application, you are not required to provide financial evidence to demonstrate that you have these funds.
