UON was the right fit for my goals
When I first started searching for universities, I wanted to find one that would support me as an international student in addition to helping me develop my technical skills. I looked at a lot of options and decided that UON’s MSc Computing (Software Engineering) was the best fit for my career goals of becoming a project manager or software engineer.
The curriculum is current, useful, and intended to get students ready for the real world.
Balancing quality and affordability
For me, affordability was one of the most important considerations. The University of Northampton provided affordable tuition costs without sacrificing quality when compared to other UK universities I looked at. Doing a master’s course in the UK was also financially viable due to its shorter duration. I felt confident about my choice because I knew I could obtain great education without taking on a lot of student debt.

A supportive and inclusive environment
Strong student support was another factor in my decision to attend UON. The university offers tools to facilitate the transition, such as workshops for academic development and advice for international students. I knew I had made the right decision because of the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere I experienced right away.
Beyond the classroom
There is more to life in Northampton than just lectures and assignments. The experience is completed by taking part in sports and societies, exploring the town, and so much more. I’ve made friends from all over the world, joined clubs, and found interests outside of university.
I chose UON because it offered the perfect balance of quality education, affordability, and a supportive environment.
