  • The University of Northampton generates an annual economic impact in Northamptonshire of £366 million Gross Value Added and supports 5,410 jobs.
  • The University’s Environmental Management System externally accredited by Investors in the Environment has received the Green Award accreditation, the highest accolade possible.

Aspiration

  • Each year, the University engages with over 35,000 young people, parents and teachers linked to widening access, the only University offering such opportunities to primary school children in the UK.
  • The University has more than 4,500 students studying at partner institutions in locations as diverse as Greece, the Gulf States, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and China.
  • Each year, the University graduates more than 2,000 students who enter into public services careers including nursing, midwifery, social work and teaching.

  • In REF2021 (the national review of quality research), 79% of the University’s submissions were classified as internationally recognised, internationally excellent or world leading with key research themes including education, humanities, business and health and sciences.
