Join the Board of Governors

External member of the Remuneration Committee

The University of Northampton is seeking a new external member of its Remuneration Committee.  Joining a committee is a fantastic opportunity to get experience and connect with the University with less of a time commitment than full Board membership (joining a committee does not stop you from applying for Board membership in future). You will build professional networks, collaborate with governors and staff, and build your own professional experience, profile and impact. In return, your skills, experience and broader perspective can add real value to the University achieving its key purpose of positive social impact.

The Remuneration Committee agrees the remuneration arrangements of the Vice Chancellor (effectively the University’s CEO) and oversees their performance. The Committee also oversees the Vice Chancellor’s leadership of the senior team and their remuneration arrangements. The Committee reports to the University’s Board of Governors which is ultimately responsible for all of the University’s activities.

The Remuneration Committee is formed of independent members of the Board and additional external members. As an external member you will add supporting specialist expertise and a valuable external viewpoint on these topics.

You will have experience and expertise in a related field, which may be human resources, employment law, remuneration, compensation and benefits or staff performance management.
