The accelerated BA (Hons) Management aims to:

  • provide an intellectually demanding and satisfying course of study that equips graduates to work independently and creates a desire for lifelong learning
  • produce graduates who are proactive in relation to management issues in organisations
  • facilitate your acquisition of knowledge, understanding and experience of management issues in organisations
  • produce business literate graduates who understand how business needs shape management strategies
  • produce graduates with high employability as generalist and specialist managers in a variety of organisations
  • provide an appropriate foundation for postgraduate study

Course Details

The two-year BA (Hons) Management accelerated degree provides an alternative to the three-year qualification, allowing you to graduate and fast track your career. The accelerated degree enables you to complete your degree in two years by extending the academic year into the normal vacation periods. You will need a strong academic ability and time management skills in order to be able to cope with the demands of this programme.

The accelerated management programme focuses on management and leadership. The programme encourages you to develop an understanding of the different areas that management involves, together with the development of management skills including communication, critical evaluation and organisational appraisal. You will develop your management and leadership skills as well as gaining an understanding of management and business models, theories and principles.

It may be possible once the BA (Hons) Management degree has been successfully completed to enrol on the MBA programme. Students will need to meet the MBA entry requirements. Advice and guidance is available and would enable you to gain both an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in three years.
