Nursing and Midwifery

Nursing and Midwifery

We have a long-established record of delivering high-quality learning and teaching in pre-registration and post-registration courses in nursing, midwifery, public and professional healthcare that prepare you for work across the NHS, private and volunteering sectors.

Our Adult, Children & Young People’s, Learning Disability, Mental Health Nursing, Midwifery, Nursing Associate and Dental Nursing courses prepare you for a rewarding profession in your chosen area of health. We offer excellent placement opportunities with our NHS and private sector healthcare partners throughout your studies. You will be introduced to a range of care settings to familiarise you with emerging patterns of care and allow you to choose a specialist area within your field of study.

Ranked 12th in the country for general Nursing in the Best UK University Guardian League table (2024), consistently achieving a high students’ employment rate, you can be confident that you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge when you graduate.

Our Nursing and Midwifery programmes, which are accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the General Dental Council (GDC), consistently produce effective nurses and midwives who embrace the highest standards of professional conduct and ethical practice.
