Overview
Sport Business & Leadership BSc (Hons) places significant emphasis on the development of business and leadership skills, to meet the growing demand for sport business leaders, managers, and coaches in the national and international commercial sport business sector. The sport business degree is split into three levels. In the first level, you’ll develop a breadth of knowledge and skills, including sport management, sport marketing and communication, sport leadership, sociological aspects of sport, and sport coaching.
In the second and third levels of the business in sport degree, you’ll have the opportunity to specialise; choosing from a range of sport business and leadership concepts, including digital sport marketing, leadership and team dynamics, strategic sport management, global sport business, events design, and leading elite sport cultures.

Stacie Gray
Senior Lecturer in Sport Business and Leadership
Stacie joined the University of Northampton in 2021 as a Senior Lecturer in Sport Business and Leadership and is the Programme Leader for the BSc Sport Business and Leadership degree. Stacie began her studies by undertaking a BSc (Hons) degree in Sport Science with Management at Loughborough University. She proceeded to complete an MA in Sport Marketing and PgCAPHE from Coventry University. Stacie completed her PhD (Achieving Compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code: A Comparison of Other International Agreements) at Loughborough University.

Sports Zone at Waterside is home to a multi-use sports dome suitable for a variety of sports, including football, badminton and netball. The facilities include two sports performance labs, a pair of teaching rooms and changing rooms. In addition, there also are three outdoor multi-use games areas and floodlit full-size all-weather state-of-the-art sports pitch. The sports dome is used for teaching, research and recreational activities.
