Why study BSc International Accounting (Top-up)?
Ever since my childhood, I have found myself drawn to playing with numbers, analysing data, solving complex issues, and making decisions. Keeping in mind the above interests, I couldn’t think of anything other than International Accounting. It doesn’t only cover the national standards for accounting but also shows how accounting looks internationally, which in turn broadens my horizons and bridges the gap between the level of knowledge I had in my country and international accounting practices.
Why University of Northampton?
The University of Northampton, being one of the few universities offering Top-up programmes, caught my attention.
It would be no exaggeration to say that UON leaves no stone unturned to support its students.
Especially the support they offer to international students in dealing with language barriers or any other issues, which is unprecedented. From the state-of-the-art facilities to the modules it offers, the university equips students with high-level knowledge and prepares them for the corporate world.

Benefits of the course for your career progression
International Accounting offers a promising career. With modules covering standards for international accounting, this course brings out your best potential and prepares students for the practical world. Throughout the year, UON polishes and prepares students by arranging job fairs or sessions and providing employment-related support, including creating an impactful CV.
Settling into university life on your course
Being an international student, I had so many “What ifs” in my mind, but every fear faded away with the help of the staff and students. The experience is transformative; it has made me more confident, encouraged me to have a curious mind, and helped me bring out the best in myself. One of my favorite things to do on campus is to go for peaceful walks in the open green spaces during breaks.
