Scholar’s Green accommodation
I currently reside at one of the student accommodations at UON – Scholars Green! It is a student village which is situated around 4 miles away from Waterside Campus where my lectures and workshops take place.
I am very pleased with my accommodation choice as it satisfies all my preferences such as living in a quitter cosier area, being closer to nature but still being able to easily and quickly get to the town centre. The most pleasing benefit of living here is its affordability – I’ve already booked this accommodation for the next academic year as it fits nicely into my tight student budget.

Free Bus Pass
Every resident of Scholars Green gets a free bus pass which is valid for routes to and from campus and to Northampton town centre. Every other 20 minutes residents of Scholars Green can get onto a comfortable double-decker for free and quickly reach out the main Waterside Campus to attend lectures or catch up with friends in the town centre.
Travelling to UON
Traveling by bus takes around 45 minutes in peak times. The bus route covers all the things students might need to reach out: the university, supermarkets, cafes, shopping centre, the bus station – where you can also change bus to reach any other destination. When you get off in the town centre you can easily walk to the train station, shopping areas, gym, hotels, and other amenities across the town.
The bus pass is electronic, making it easy to access, just tap the Stagecoach app and show your bus pass to the bus driver. Members of staff will assist you with signing up to the app as soon as you move into Scholars Green.
