About Waterside
The Waterside Campus gets its name from its location: right next to the River Nene canal. Just a short 15-minute walk over the campus bridge that crosses this river gets you into Northampton Town Centre, making it highly convenient for students. The nearest supermarkets are the Victoria Promenade Morrisons and B&M, which are both well-priced for necessities and snack foods you may require. Due to its convenient location, as most lectures take place at Waterside, the price of the accommodation is more expensive, but worth the money for your first year of study!
Student Halls
Due to its popularity, the Waterside Campus has the largest number and variety of rooms to suit your needs, including single rooms, ensuite rooms and studio flats. These halls were opened in 2018 when the campus opened, the high quality modern accommodation with everything you need reflects this. The buildings are modern and homely, and you can view them for yourself on an Open Day. Furthermore, the WiFi, kitchen appliances, electricity, water, heating, security and insurance are all included in your rent.

The Learning and Creative Hubs
Right next to the Student Accommodation are the Learning and Creative Hubs, also located on the Waterside Campus. The Learning Hub is home to the majority of subjects, such as healthcare-based courses, education courses, psychology and much more. This means that most students will have a short commute should they choose to live at Waterside campus. Even if your course isn’t based at the Learning Hub, the chances are you will be here frequently, whether visiting the 24/7 Library or the support desks, or perhaps enjoying the catering facilities at the Market or the events at the Waterside Bar. The Creative Hub is similar to the Learning Hub, but is based around the Education, Arts, Science and Technology faculty and thus has many more industry-specific areas.

Other Facilities
The Student Union is based in the Engine Shed, a Grade II listed building located on Campus and is another great location for Students to hang out, due to it being a home to many events. There is also a Morrisons Daily which is helpful for small shops and always worth checking for reduced food! As well as this, the Waterside Campus has sports pitches for physical subjects, a security and police centre, a hotel for relatives to stay at, the Senate building which incorporates teaching rooms for a variety of courses with a cafe and study spaces, and much more.
