The University of Northampton are proud of our Waterside campus, built in 2018 and fully equipped with all the modern facilities you would expect from a university.
From a state of the art library and new modern accommodation to sports facilities and the student union, we have everything you need to make the most of your university experience.

Teaching, Support and Research
At the University of Northampton, we want your studies to feel more personal, and that’s why most of our courses include smaller class sizes. This helps us develop a more tailored career-focused approach to your learning.

One of the main attractions of studying in the town of Northampton is that you are close to cities such as London and Birmingham, but can also experience living in the friendly, inclusive, and supportive community within the town.
The Waterside campus is situated within a 10-15 minute walk to the town centre, meaning you will be close by to all the amenities such as local shops, supermarkets, and bars.
We also recommend visiting the town’s plentiful green spaces such as Becket’s Park to truly experience the local beauty that is right on the doorstep.
Our mission is to make you feel settled, supported, and at home in Northampton throughout your studies. We have an ASSIST team that help to support students with disabilities, as well as helping you make sure you have everything you need to study away from home.

Our Employment Promise
We’re confident that after studying at our university, you’ll graduate with all the skills and knowledge you need to kickstart your career.
However, if you’re not employed six months after graduating, through our employment promise, we’ll guarantee you six months support from a dedicated Careers Development Consultant, followed by the offer of a paid internship if you are still looking for work.
Optional Placement Year and Integrated Foundation Year
We like to give our students the best possible routes to securing the careers they want after studying with the University of Northampton.
That’s why we have created the optional placement year for a range of our undergraduate courses. This optional year allows students to gain invaluable experience working in their chosen field and develop their skills to enhance their future employability.

We also offer an alternative pathway for studying a degree that we have called the integrated foundation year. This allows students to study an additional foundational year before starting their three-year degree.
