The University of Northampton are proud of our Waterside campus, built in 2018 and fully equipped with all the modern facilities you would expect from a university.

From a state of the art library and new modern accommodation to sports facilities and the student union, we have everything you need to make the most of your university experience.

Optional Placement Year and Integrated Foundation Year


We like to give our students the best possible routes to securing the careers they want after studying with the University of Northampton.

That’s why we have created the optional placement year for a range of our undergraduate courses. This optional year allows students to gain invaluable experience working in their chosen field and develop their skills to enhance their future employability.

We also offer an alternative pathway for studying a degree that we have called the integrated foundation year. This allows students to study an additional foundational year before starting their three-year degree.
