Schools Engagement (Widening Access)
The University of Northampton’s Schools Engagement (Widening Access) team is determined to develop and offer a range of opportunities for our partner schools across the county of Northamptonshire, for children and students from the age of 5 to 18 and adult learners. Schools are identified to work with the Schools Engagement team based on postcode area, high areas of IMD Q1 & 2 and areas of disadvantage in Northamptonshire.
Part of Equality and Access, the Schools Engagement team collaborates with internal and external partners to help schools raise aspirations, boost attainment, and inspire young people to explore various future options.
We aim to encourage children and young people to consider the benefits of a post-18 education through university or an alternative provider.
