Northampton­shire

Explore a little further and discover what the rest of Northamptonshire has to offer. 

Known as ‘The Rose of the Shires’, you’ll find some of the most beautiful countryside in England just a few miles from campus. A few of our favourites are Delapré Abbey – not only the perfect place for a stroll or a picnic, but also a picturesque historic mansion built in 1145. Slightly further afield, we have Pitsford Reservoir, a 7.5 mile nature reserve route where you can walk or cycle.

We have a host of shopping centres in Northampton however, if you’re after an experience slightly different then head to Rushden Lakes – Northamptonshire’s premier shopping and leisure destination. Here you’ll find big fashion brands alongside lakeside restaurants and cafes, as well as indoor climbing, trampolining and an IMAX cinema.
