I chose to study at the University of Northampton because of the bright campus life, experienced staff, and the many different cultural backgrounds of the students.

My career goal is simple – to find my dream job in my field and grow stronger within it. The sole purpose of studying for a degree is to gain knowledge. By enrolling on this course, I know that I’ll be able to work in prisons, or in professional research projects once I graduate.

The programme of study covers many different areas – profiling, prison systems, behavioural management, and mental health in the justice system, so I’m able to obtain a thorough understanding of forensic psychology. We’ve also been looking at case studies, which I feel will be most useful in my future career.

The advice I’d give to undergraduates interested in this career path would be to select your course carefully and once selected, tackle it fully with your abilities.

I’ve found the University of Northampton to be very helpful in absorbing new students within its environment. The active and bright campus life and involvement with different societies has helped me to adjust in my new surroundings. All of the staff are helpful and supportive to the students and the teaching methodologies are great.
