My role as a director involves many tasks, including setting goals and responsibilities for my team, allocating resources and promotions, ensuring accordance with compliance, dealing with investors, and making decisions about new ventures or products. It’s an exciting role and running a business is a fun and interesting part of my life.
I always wanted to be an entrepreneur, and I took a lot of training in Dubai. When I started studying at UON, I completed all three Changemaker certificates and the Changemaker team guided me on how to start my own business. I first discussed the project with my childhood friend – within two days we’d contacted an agency that deals in company formation, then we finally started our company, Bestower Labs Ltd.
What skills/knowledge from your degree have been useful in this role?
Agile project management, project management tools, milestone setting, report formations, business hierarchy, and managing project teams are some of the major skills and knowledge I learned that are currently useful to me.
Please briefly sum up your experience at the University of Northampton.
My time at the University of Northampton was an amazing experience, with friendly teachers, a co-operative Changemaker team, and wonderful training, which gave me help in starting my own business. It was an incredible ride and one of the best experiences of my life.
