Welcome to Pre-sessional English Programme (PEP) – September 2026

Welcome to your 6-week Pre-sessional English course at the University of Northampton. This intensive online course is designed to help you develop your English language skills within an academic environment. The tasks, classroom activities and assessments have all been selected to mimic what you may be asked to do on your degree and to give you the opportunity to practice using English in a supportive environment.

As Course Leader, I am responsible for the overall running of the course and of ensuring you have a positive experience on your course. One of my key responsibilities is to monitor the quality of the course and gather your feedback on your experiences and to make sure any problems or issues you raise about the course are heard and acted upon.  I can also help signpost you to appropriate university support services if you are experiencing any problems while studying on the pre-sessional.
