Welcome to MA (Placement and Non-placement routes) and PGDip Human Resource Management – September 2026.
On this course you can expect to research, investigate and debate the BIG questions in the world of work and the role of HR , resulting in a world recognised qualification that is accredited by the CIPD.
If AI is the cleverest brain at work – what do we need people for ? Does work make us ill? How do we redesign the 9-5 and create meaningful work ? Should organisations publish everyone’ salary? What are the key people challenges in 2026/7 and beyond?
Through active learning ,academic research and practical assessments , we help to create people professionals who make better informed decisions, act with confidence and lead change ethically in an uncertain world.

Preparing for your course
Welcome and Induction week is from Monday 22 September to Friday 26 September.
There will be a variety of university-wide activities and activities for students studying in the Faculty of Business and Law. In addition to this there are some sessions specifically for MA HRM students.

Session: The Faculty Welcome Experience!
This is how we love to kick things off in the Faculty of Business Law! This fun and friendly social event brings music, unique games, party food and more to our new student and staff community. Hosted by the faculty Student Experience Assistant Team (SEAT), this is a great opportunity to connect and mix with peers and tutors from Business, Management, Analytics, Marketing, Hospitality, Law, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Criminology, Criminal Justice & Policing course communities.
