Welcome to BA Human Resource Management – September 2026.
Welcome to the BA (Hons) Human Resource Management course at the University of Northampton. You will develop the skills and knowledge needed to manage people and address real business challenges through interactive teaching and applied assessments.
In your first week, you will meet your tutors and Personal Academic Tutor (PAT), take part in induction activities, and connect with your peers. You will also be introduced to key initiatives such as Student Futures Week and the HRM Student Rendezvous, helping you build networks and begin your university journey with confidence.

Preparing for your course
In preparation for your course starting in September, we hold an online sessions beforehand so you can meet your Academic Team and other students studying the same course. The session would focus on discussing the re-enrolment process and any questions you may have before welcome week. This will be held on Friday 11 September. Tuesday 22 September
Session: University Leadership Team Welcome Talk
- Time: 10:30 – 11am (BST)
- Location: Engine shed, Waterside Campus
This session offers you the opportunity to meet key members of the University’s senior leadership team, including the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Chief Operating Officer, or Pro Vice-Chancellor.
Following the talk, you will have the chance to complete any remaining face-to-face enrolment on campus. Please proceed to the designated registration desks, where staff will be available to guide you through the process.
Thursday 24 September
Session: BA HRM Course Introduction and Faculty Welcome
- Time: 9:30am – 4pm (BST)
- Location: LH317, third floor Learning Hub, Waterside Campus
The session will begin with an opportunity to meet the Course Leader and your tutors, and to connect with fellow HRM students. During this session, you will receive key information about the course, alongside an introduction to the University’s systems and support services to help you settle in confidently.
We will then round off the day with the Faculty Welcome Experience — a fun and friendly social event featuring music, interactive games, and refreshments. Hosted by the Faculty’s Student Experience Assistant Team (SEAT), this is a great opportunity to meet and socialise with students and staff from across the Faculty of Business and Law.
