Advertising & Digital Marketing BA Welcome Pack

Welcome to BA Advertising & Digital Marketing – September 2026.

We are delighted to welcome you to the BA Hons Advertising and Digital Marketing degree at the University of Northampton.

This course is designed for the realities of modern marketing, which is fast moving, creative, data informed, and continually evolving. From day one, you will begin developing the strategic thinking and creative confidence needed to plan and deliver campaigns that stand out in a crowded digital world.

You will explore areas such as consumer behaviour, branding, social media, influencer marketing, and global communications. What makes this course distinctive is how these areas come together in practice. A strong emphasis is placed on the relationship between creativity and strategy, helping you to not only generate ideas but also shape campaigns that achieve meaningful impact.

You will also engage with emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, and examine how they are transforming marketing practice. This includes content creation, personalisation, campaign optimisation, and insight generation. You will be encouraged to think critically about these tools and use them in creative and responsible ways.

Learning is practical and applied. You will work on live briefs, collaborate with others, and respond to real industry challenges, building a professional portfolio that reflects your development as a marketer.

With accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Digital Marketing Institute, along with the option of a placement year, you will graduate with the knowledge and experience to stand out.

We look forward to supporting you as you begin your journey with us. Welcome to the course!
