Booking Your Ceremony Tickets and Attendance
Attending Your UON Ceremony
Students attending their ceremony do not need to purchase a ticket for themselves but do need to register that they will be attending, there is no cost for this.
We need to know your intentions regarding the ceremony, we don’t automatically assume you will be attending, the onus is on you to register in the allotted timescales given below. If you plan to attend your graduation and have not gone through the formal booking process below (and therefore not subject to those specific terms and conditions), the University is not and will not be responsible for any costs incurred by you and/or your guests including but not limited to travel and accommodation expenses and visa application fees.
The University recommends that students and guests spending significant amounts to attend a graduation event should purchase their own travel insurance to cover any potential losses should they be unable to attend the actual event.
Guest tickets cost £17.50 each. Students are able to book a maximum of 3 guest tickets, with any additional tickets being sold at a later date.
Booking Your Award Ceremony
All students will be able to go online and book a maximum of 3 guest tickets alongside their attendance. Student attendance is free but does also need to be booked. Guest tickets cost £17.50 each.
The booking site will close at 4pm on 12 March 2025. If, after booking has closed, there are any remaining guest tickets the booking site will reopen at 10am on 14 March. All students who are attending will be notified at this time of guest ticket availability. All booking and refunding online will close when spaces are full or at 4pm on 10 April, whichever is soonest.
Please note the ceremony is unsuitable for very young children. No children under the age of 5 years old can attend the ceremony, so please do not purchase guest tickets for them. No children under 5 years will be permitted to enter the auditorium even if they have a ticket. Please note no children aged under 16 should attend the ceremony alone due to safeguarding issues. Additional provision will be made for adults supervising young children outside of the ceremony to view it on a large screen on campus. And, of course, all children are welcome to be a part of any formal photography you arrange and the celebrations throughout the day.
Prior to booking please carefully read our terms and conditions (PDF, 141KB) as by booking to attend you and your guests are agreeing to these.
