University’s Paramedic Science degree re-endorsed by national, professional body

A popular University health degree has been given the ‘thumbs’ up’ from a national organisation that reflects educational excellence and quality.

The BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science degree has again been formally endorsed by the College of Paramedics, up until 31 October 2028.

Endorsement from the College recognises a commitment from the University to maintain the highest standards in pre-registration paramedic education. Endorsement also:

• Aligns the degree with the College’s shared vision for educational excellence and represents a benchmark of quality.
• Reflects the University’s dedication to preparing graduates who will exemplify paramedics as clinicians capable of delivering compassionate, person-centred care in complex environments and equipped for lifelong learning.
• Signifies that UON’s degree programme in a growing community of practice dedicated to enhancing the quality and coherence of paramedic education nationally.

Danielle Neighbour, Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Science, says: “We are delighted to have official endorsement from our professional body, a reflection of how we align not only with the College’s vision for paramedics, but also the quality of teaching we provide at University of Northampton.

“Next up for us, a member of the team will take this endorsement further and be trained to become an ambassador. They will develop other programmes seeking endorsement, lead on mutual learning and educational leadership across community as well as boosting their own professional development.”
