The University has 11 new Associate Professors, from academic subjects across its three Faculties. Their comments about how they will use the new titles to further their research outputs and teaching and learning are featured in the Chronicle & Echo.

Sam Huczmann’s Doctor of Professional Practice in Health and Social Care at UON is informing his plans to develop an integrated health and care system on the Isle of Scilly. Now, he has funding from The Churchill Fellowship to go on an eight-week fact-finding mission next year to remote communities in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Children from seven primary schools in Northamptonshire celebrated the success of their social impact projects based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals at the University last week. The SPARK Student Awards event is reported in the Chronicle & Echo.

Local gig-goers were treated to a live showcase from UON’s Popular Music students who took over the stage at the Pattishall in the Park festival, as reported by the Northants Telegraph.

Afrobeat singer-songwriter Great Adamz will represent the county at the Latitude Festival. He told the Northampton Chronicle & Echo that most of hi band are, like him, either UON graduates or currently studying here.
