Non-Traditional Research Methods seminar. Sounding Stories: Embodied Knowledge in Creative Research
The Non-Traditional Research Methods network is delighted to welcome Dr Stace Constantinou (UON) and Naomi Williams (University of Warwick) who will explore the sensory and performative dimensions of research through story and sound.
Their seminar Sounding Stories invites us to listen differently to the resonances and reverberations that shape how research is experienced and articulated and will take place on Teams on Friday 12 December from 1:45pm-3:45pm.
Both speakers demonstrate how creative practice can become a mode of inquiry and a way of generating, rather than simply representing, knowledge. Together, they will consider how narrative, sound, and embodiment intersect within interdisciplinary research, asking what it means to ‘listen’ to data, to space, and to others. This seminar offers an opportunity to reflect on how creative methods can deepen understanding, foster collaboration, and attune researchers to the tonalities of lived experience.
