Scott is a Lecturer in Psychological Sciences of Sport and Exercise, and HCPC Registered Sport and Exercise Psychologist. Having previously taught at the University of Winchester and University of Hertfordshire, Scott moved to Northampton in 2024 to teach across the Sport and Exercise Psychology Programme, including SPO1051- Doing Sport Psychology in the Digital Age, and SPO3062- Team and Group Dynamics in Sport.
Alongside his academic work, Scott is regularly involved in applied sport psychology, providing support to a variety of organisations including Northampton County Cricket Academy, Northants Emerging Talent Centre, England Touch Rugby, and Hertfordshire Talented Athlete Programme, as well as individuals in a range of sports, including Athletics, Gymnastics, Football and Figure Skating. He is also the UK Country Rep for the European Network of Young Specialists in Sport Psychology
Outside of work, Scott is a competitive athlete, representing Herts Phoenix AC over the 100m, 200m and 400m in the National Athletics League.
