Dr. Modawi is a Senior Lecturer in Finance and MBA Finance Pathway Course Leader. He teaches Strategic Financial Management, Financing and Investment Decisions for Business, Financial and Business Strategy, Corporate Business Law, Advanced Personal Tax Planning, International Tax Systems, and Financial Environment. He has taught extensively at University College London (UCL – ranked number *7* in global university rankings), where he taught Macroeconomics. Prior to his doctoral studies, his professional experience in the financial sector included working at HSBC Bank as an Account Reviewer, where he reviewed high-risk customers at HSBC Global Standards Department. Within the department, he reviewed foreign and domestic ministers, prime ministers’ advisers, ambassadors, government officials and government entities’ executives, as well as both House of Commons and House of Lords members who were HSBC Bank account holders. He worked at Lloyds Banking Group in the Direct Investment Department as a share dealing administrator.
