Laura is a lecturer in Physiotherapy, joining the team at the University of Northampton in 2025. Laura gained a First Class BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Coventry University in 2017. She has since worked clinically within the NHS, specialising in acute and frailty care.
Laura’s journey began in the fitness industry, honing skills as a sports therapist and personal trainer before transitioning into therapy assistant roles within the NHS. This dual foundation in fitness and clinical care has shaped a holistic approach to rehabilitation and patient wellbeing.
To deepen her expertise, Laura pursed an MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology, expanding the understanding of exercise as medicine and its application in complex clinical settings.
Laura’s background across clinical, academic and fitness domains give her a unique perspective in higher education. Brining real-world insight, academic rigour, and a passion for student development.
Outside of work, Laura thrives on physical challenges, pushing limits in fitness competitions or hitting the pitch for a game of hockey.
