Gavriel is a dynamic and innovative educator and practitioner, bringing expertise in electronic music, musicology, and psychology to enrich the UoN Music Department. Alongside teaching and supervision, he facilitates the annual ‘Of Sound Mind’ sound art installation, a student-led immersive exhibition exploring Sound, AI, Psychology, and Performance. He is also an HCPC-registered music psychotherapist.
Gavriel teaches Electronic Music Performance, Performance with Technology, Cultural Theory, and Music Education. He supervises final-year music dissertation students and supports creative practice in areas including Max for Live, MIDI controller design, and immersive sound installation.
His interests explore the intersection of music, technology, psychology, and wellbeing, with particular focus on creative practice, sound as relational experience, and the role of music in mental health.
