The University of Northampton collaborates with teams, organisations, and industry leads to develop and deliver professional learning and development (CPD) options tailored to today’s workforce and working environment.
Our blended learning approach, which combines face-to-face, online, and work-based learning, is ideal for enabling people to apply skills acquired as they progress directly.
Our Faculty of Health, Sport and Behavioural Sciences already have some great courses available, such as Mental Health First Aid, Advanced Dementia Care, and Assessment Only Route to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Find out more about their courses.

We will listen to your needs and use our networks and internal expertise to develop and deliver gold standard education and training, working closely with associate professors and industry leaders, as well as sector specific education bodies.
This could include the development and delivery of a one-day workshop, regular short courses spread over a week or several weeks, a two-year accredited development programme or a 3-year degree specific to a specific subject area.

This experience of providing a broad range of learning solutions to learners at different stages of their career is something we use to develop our organisation and industry based professional development programmes. Together with our sector-specific expertise, we have a long track record of developing recognised professional development programmes, such as:
