Are you one of our applicants at the University of Northampton and seeking to know more about your potential university?

We know that selecting University pathways can be a daunting, yet life-changing decision. Henceforth, we have specifically designed Discovery Days for applicants like yourself!

At our Discovery Days, you can expect to immerse yourself in a first-hand experience of University life that is invaluable to help you to make the right choice for university. From walking around our campus to speaking to your potential course lecturers, we have different University support teams that are happy to answer all your questions.

Our University support teams are trained to provide a range of different support that is free and available for you to use as of when needed. On the day, talk to our University support teams such as the income and finance teams, the Student Futures team, mental health and wellbeing team, admissions team, accommodation team, University ASSIST team and many more.

By attending one of our Discovery Days, you will get the chance to go on a campus tour to view our modern Waterside Campus that runs along the River Nene. You can also take a tour of Northampton’s town centre, or come along to one of our accommodation tours to see what your future room would look like.

You can also engage in specific subject sessions and a range of talks that we offer such as student ambassador Welcome Talk, Accommodation Talk, and a budgeting talk.

Opportunities to speak to current students about student life at the University provides a taste of what your student life would be like at university. Our student ambassadors based at the Student Experience Zone will be available for you to chat with.

Whilst Open Days are for everyone and anyone, Discovery Days are catered exclusively for applicants only. They run exclusively from February to April each year. Ultimately, you get to experience a more in-depth session of your selected course which would help you to re-affirm your decisions for university.

I would highly encourage you to attend a Discovery Day if you are a University of Northampton applicant – not only because of all the benefits mentioned above but also because you will potentially meet other applicants who you could be studying with and form a friendship before you even start university!
