Continuous Course Monitoring and Planning (CMaP)

From the 2025-26 academic year, all existing Annual Monitoring processes have been replaced by the Continuous Course Monitoring and Planning (CMaP) process.

The CMaP process has been designed to provide a data-informed mechanism which will facilitate Course Teams to carry out continuous quality enhancements to courses. The CMaP makes use of a Power-App and SharePoint to enable real-time action tracking and to send automated notifications to keep Course Teams updated.

The CMaP process will feed key information to the Faculty Academic Committees and to the Academic Quality and Standards Committee.

All on-campus taught courses (Levels 3 to 8) will be required to complete a CMaP. For 2025-26 this will not apply to partnership provision.

Any queries regarding the CMaP process should be directed to CMaP.quality@northampton.ac.uk.

The CMaP Handbook provides additional guidance.
