Dr Roshni Khatri is Deputy Dean and Associate Professor for Learning and Teaching in the Faculty of Health, Sports and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Northampton. Her leadership and academic contributions span curriculum innovation, student experience, and quality enhancement.
Dr Khatri is a passionate advocate for technology enhanced learning, teaching and assessment, having led multiple initiatives to embed technology-enhanced pedagogies across health education programmes. Her work focuses on designing inclusive, engaging curricula that support diverse learning needs and foster academic success.
Her research interests bridge educational and clinical domains. In education, she explores the strategic use of digital tools to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment. Clinically, she investigates neurological rehabilitation techniques for adults and children, with a focus on improving functional independence and quality of life. She also researches and applies the Vona du Toit Model of Creative Ability in various practice settings to support therapeutic outcomes.
Dr Khatri was awarded the Carnegie–Wits Fellowship, promoting international collaboration among health sciences alumni. She actively contributes to scholarly discourse as a reviewer for the British Journal of Occupational Therapy and the Journal of Assessment and Evaluation in Higher Education.
Before entering higher education, Dr Khatri worked extensively in neurological rehabilitation across acute hospital settings in both rural and urban environments. Her clinical roles included delivering sensory integration programmes for children with cerebral palsy and leading community-based rehabilitation for adult stroke survivors.
