Welcome to BSc Business Data & Information Systems (Top-Up) – September 2026.

Welcome to the BSc (Hons) Business Data & Information Systems (Top-Up) programme. I am delighted that you have chosen to join us and look forward to supporting you throughout your studies.

This course offers an exciting and highly relevant learning experience that bridges business, data analytics, and information systems. Building on your previous studies, the programme is designed to enhance your technical, analytical, and professional skills, preparing you for today’s increasingly data-driven business environment.

Throughout the course, you will explore how data and information systems influence organisational decision-making, drive innovation, and support sustainable business practices. You will critically examine contemporary developments in eCommerce, data management, information security, and digital transformation, while developing the ability to solve complex business challenges using practical, evidence-based approaches.

Learning on this programme is engaging and practice-focused. You will participate in interactive workshops, seminars, practical activities, case studies, and collaborative projects that reflect real-world business contexts. Assessments are designed to be authentic and professionally relevant, enabling you to demonstrate your knowledge and skills through assignments, presentations, projects, and other practical tasks.

During your first week, you will meet the programme team, your fellow students, and your Personal Academic Tutor (PAT), who will support you throughout your studies. You will also be introduced to the digital systems and resources available to support your learning.

By the end of the programme, you will have developed the confidence, knowledge, and practical expertise required for careers in data analytics, business intelligence, IT consultancy, information systems management, and other roles within the digital economy.

Welcome to the programme, and I wish you every success in your studies.
