AAT Logo 2026The BSc (Hons) Accounting & Finance Manager Degree Apprenticeship is designed for individuals at the start of their career in accounting and finance, as well as those already working in the sector who are looking to build capability, gain professional confidence and progress.

Apprentices develop the technical, digital and leadership skills needed to manage and implement effective, compliant accounting and finance processes within modern organisations. Aligned to the ST1303 Accounting and Finance Manager Apprenticeship Standard, the programme combines academic study with practical, workplace-based learning, ensuring knowledge is applied where it matters most.

Those working in payroll, credit control or finance administration will find the course a strong progression route, recognising their experience while developing broader accounting and finance capability.

Assessment is continuous and work-focused, enabling apprentices to demonstrate their learning through real workplace activity while adding immediate value to their organisation.

Entry Requirements

Entry criteria are set by each employer, so they vary between organisations. Selection typically involves an application, interview, and role-specific assessment.

To enrol, apprentices must:

  • Be supported by their employer
  • Meet indicative course entry requirements
  • Be based in England for at least 50% of contracted hours

Indicative Entry Requirements

  • 112 UCAS points, including 64 from two A levels or equivalent
  • No prior accounting knowledge required — full course modules are provided

Fast-Track Option

  • Apprentices with a relevant Level 4 accounting qualification (e.g. AAT) may be eligible to enter directly into Year 2

English & Maths

  • Ages 16–18: Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE grade 4/C or equivalent) required before completion
  • Ages 19+: English and Maths training is optional and can be agreed with the employer

Flexible Routes

  • We welcome candidates with professional experience, alternative qualifications, or self-directed learning relevant to the programme.
