Welcome to Applied Sport and Exercise Science MSc 2022.

Welcome to the University of Northampton and the MSc Applied Sport and Exercise Science. As part of your course, you will be either studying Applied Sport Performance or Physical Activity and Health. The vocationally orientated, independent, negotiated learning programme will provide you with the opportunity to develop a critical understanding of key topics in your chosen pathway. This will be achieved through a blend of theoretical, practical and work-based learning experiences to develop your academic and professional potential. The programme will allow you to design your master’s degree to meet your career aspirations and to develop critical understanding of key topics in your chosen pathway. With modules designed and delivered by staff with national and international research reputations and/or extensive industry experience.

The sessions today will allow you to become familiar with the campus, introduce you to the learning and teaching aspects of the programme, including an introduction to the key modules delivered in the first trimester and the online platforms used to disseminate the module content. It will finish with a tour of the Learning Hub and the library.
