International Business Management BA Welcome Pack
Welcome to BA International Business Management 2025.
International Business Management BA (Hons) is a newly designed programme launched in September 2020. With a focus on cross-cultural management, international strategy and sustainability, this course will enable you to explore the skills required to become a flexible future manager capable of spotting international business opportunities quickly and responding to challenges effectively.
There’s a growing demand for graduates who understand global markets and management and the challenges of conducting business across borders. This programme will help you develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to navigate the complexities of a changing, culturally diverse global business environment. Themes of global strategy, cross-cultural communication, and social impact and sustainability run throughout, preparing you for work in various settings.

ENHANCING SKILLS, BUILDING NETWORKS AND ENGAGING IN THE WIDER UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY
This programme features:
- Funded national and international business visits to explore the different cultural approaches to business*
- Language learning component supported throughout the course
- Authentic and creative assessments and learning activities facilitated by staff members from diverse backgrounds
The practical nature of the course ensures you graduate with real-world skills and experience to thrive in your international career. This course will maximise your employability and give you a solid platform for a career in global business management, but you will graduate with a skillset relevant to any business career. You can go on to work for multinational enterprises, or governmental organisations or even build your own global company from the ground up. You will graduate with a broad understanding of modern business and the confidence and capacity to work on a global scale.

Join the Business Society, a student-run society through Northampton Students’ Union, to help organise events, trips and activities including our Annual Business Conference.
In your final year you will have the opportunity to showcase your International Business Project as a poster presentation at the annual Business Fest. This is annually attended by students studying business, accounting and finance, as well as industry specialists and our alumni.
*The cost of trips may be funded or part-funded by the University. In all cases, students would be expected to cover the costs of daily expenses such as food and drink and local transportation (e.g. bus fare). We would anticipate that this should be no more than approx. £25 per day with trips being no longer than 10 days in duration.
