Welcome to the Alumni and Development Team. Our role is to support the academic departments on projects and through scholarships that require philanthropic funds whilst also working to support a global alumni network through communications and events.
The Alumni Association produce the alumni enewsletter, run eCommunications projects to support academic departments and regularly host networking events and reunions.
Working with the University Centre for Employability and Engagement (UCEE), the Alumni Association manages an ementoring scheme designed to match alumni with current students who offer professional or academic guidance through an online tool.
Alumni and staff who would like to mentor a student can register their interest through an online form.
"The motivation, inspiration and enthusiasm and the sense that somebody actually believes in your success is inspiring. It makes this scheme essential for every student and I could not be happier that I am part of it." (Justina Petkeviciute, BSc Accounting and Finance)
Every graduate of the University of Northampton automatically becomes a member of the Alumni Association - which is committed to providing ongoing support for all graduates throughout their personal growth and professional development.
It is our mission to ensure that our graduates are given the best possible start on their professional and academic journeys. Alumni will be regularly informed of the latest employment opportunities and invited to join fellow alumni on our LinkedIn group - enabling them to network and promote their achievements.
Alumni have a huge deal to offer in terms of 'giving back' and supporting the current students who are following in their footsteps, using their experience and influence to make a difference to others' lives.
Alumni also come back to campus to deliver inspirational talks to prospective students, sharing their student experiences and career paths. An international network of people linked to the university and each other, we are in touch with over 60,000 graduates around the world.
The Alumni Association also offers graduates a range of benefits and services that include:
- various discounts
- 'Connect' – The annual alumni magazine
- alumni monthly eNewsletter
- find a friend service
- lost alumni lists
- career guidance services
- library associate membership
- Students' Union Associate membership
- 15% off conference and accommodation facilities at the Sunley Conference Centre
The university promotes its courses at various visits and educational exhibitions all over the world. Would you be able to help us if we were in your area?
