Here you can find outline information about what to expect during your interview if you have applied for one of our interviewing health courses. Full details will be emailed to you in your interview invite.

  • Where will my interview take place?

    Face-to-face interviews will take place in the Learning Hub at the Waterside Campus. As part of your interview you will be given an opportunity to have a tour of facilities.

    Virtual interviews will be held on an online platform called Blackboard Collaborate. We advise that you use Google Chrome to join. Unless you already have it, we recommend you install Google Chrome before your scheduled interview on a device that is capable of video calling.

    How long will my interview take?

    You will have a series of three mini-interviews, conducted by different people.

    Face to face interviews will last approximately 3 hours. Virtual interviews will take approximately 1 hour.

    Is there any preparation work to do before my interview?

    You must submit a piece of work at least 48 hours before your interview. Please refer to your interview emails for details of this task.

    What do I need to bring with me to my interview?

    You will need to present a form of identification at your interview (driving license, passport, college card or visa).

  • Where will my interview take place?

    Face-to-face interviews will take place in the Learning Hub at the Waterside Campus.

    Virtual interviews will take place on Microsoft Teams. For an online interview, you will require a device with the video capabilities. Please make sure you’re in a quiet place free from interruption.

    Virtual interviews will be held on an online platform called Webex. For online interview, you will be requiring a device with the video capabilities. The academics will email you the Webex link a day before the interview. When you join, you may be placed on hold in a waiting position, please wait for the academic to welcome you as they may be on another call.

    What will my interview involve?

    Full details will be included in your interview invite, however you will be expected to demonstrate a good knowledge of your chosen nursing profession and what it involves. You should do some research beforehand to ensure that you are prepared.

    Is there any preparation work to do before my interview?

    We advise you to visit the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) website, where you will find helpful resources relating to nurse education.

    We also recommend you keep up to date with current health care and nursing issues in national newspapers and by visiting the following sites:

    How long will my interview take?

    Your interview with the interview panel will last approximately 30 minutes. For face to face interviews, you may be campus for longer than this as you will need to register.

    What do I need to bring with me to my interview?

    You will need to present a form of identification at your interview  (driving license, passport, college card or visa).

    Your interview will last approximately 30 minutes.

    Is there any preparation work to do before my interview?

    We recommend you keep up to date with current health care and nursing issues by visiting the websites from institutions such as the NHS and Department of Health. Full details will be included in your interview invite.

    • Check your microphone and camera is working
    • Find a quiet place free from interruption
    • Join your interview using the link that has been sent to you.

    In preparation for your interview, you may want to complete some research into the role of the occupational therapist and the occupational therapy profession.

    You are also required to submit a piece of work by email. Please refer to your interview emails for details of this task and additional preparation work.

    Please feel free to bring along snacks and refreshments to keep your energy levels up.

    We recommend that you complete some research into the role of a Paramedic and paramedic science profession.

    You will need to present a form of identification at your interview (driving license, passport, college card or visa).

  • Where will my interview take place?

    Online interview:

    Your interview will take place online using Microsoft Teams. For online interviews you will require a device with video capability to participate.

    You will receive a Microsoft Teams link and instructions for your interview from our BSc Podiatry academic team before your interview. We recommend that you log in five minutes before your interview time to check that your microphone and camera are working.

    Face to face interview:

    Your interview will take place in person at our Waterside Campus and the Podiatry Clinic.

    The interview day starts at our Waterside Campus with the registration. You will then meet our Podiatry academic, or a Podiatry student, who will accompany you to our Podiatry Clinic for the interview.

    How long will my interview take?

    If your interview is online, it will last approximately 30 minutes.

    If your interview is in person, your interview day will last up to 4 hours and you will be expected to be available for the whole time.

    Is there any preparation work to do before my interview?

    Full details will be included in your invite but as a starting point we recommend you research the role of a Podiatrist and the podiatry profession. Here’s a few places to get started:

    • The Community Care website, as this will give you insight into what social work is both globally and nationally.
