Dr Mike Daniel Research Degree Scholarship

The Dr Mike Daniel Research Degree Scholarship awards £500 to a postgraduate research degree student at the University of Northampton.

Scholarship Criteria

Dr Mike Daniel was Pro Rector (Academic Quality) from 1993-2002 and played a major role in guiding the institution towards taught degree awarding powers and university college designation. After his untimely death in 2002 friends and colleagues raised sufficient funds to create a research degree scholarship to be named after him.

The award recognises the financial difficulties often experienced by research degree students. In particular, the award is aimed at specific costs often associated with an individual research programme, for example, travel, software and closed library access.

Application and Deadline

Please note applications for the Dr Mike Daniel Research Degree Scholarship have now closed and will reopen in Spring 2024.
