Pants a lot! Undies collection for homeless is a hit

Staff and students are thanked after filling six bin bags for the Hope Centre.

Staff and students are being thanked for their donations of underwear and socks for the homeless.

A collection held earlier this summer resulted in six bin bags of undies being delivered to the Hope Centre charity.

One of the organisers, Paul Tucker, said: “The reaction from staff at The Hope Centre showed just how important a gesture this was, they were delighted as stocks were almost depleted.

“We intend to go again in winter, which is peak season for demands for fresh undies.

“Whilst running this collection we had numerous people ask if they could support the Hope Centre by way of financial donations instead of giving underwear and socks.

“So we have setup a Just Giving page called Don’t Stare at my Underwear.”

Visit the Just Giving page and all donations, big or small, go directly to the Hope Centre.
