Lawyers put their best foot forward in the Legal Walk 2021

Date 15.06.2021

A team of staff and students from the University of Northampton’s Law team will join legal professionals from across the county for the Legal Walk 2021 on 21 June.

The Northampton Legal Walk is a 10km sponsored walk around Northampton town centre, which includes some all the town’s major landmarks and raised money to enable pro-bono legal advice services across the county.

The team of students and staff will join local law firms, chambers, and in-house legal teams, as well as those who have a passion for access to justice, to come together with local judges and members of the community and walk 10km to raise funds for front-line legal advice services across the region.

Karen Jones, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law, at the University of Northampton said: “I’m delighted that the Faculty of Business and Law will be taking part in this year’s Legal Walk. The money our steps raise will fund vital local services which provide legal advice on issues including preventing homelessness, resolving debt problems, gaining care for the elderly and disabled and fighting exploitation for some of the most vulnerable people in our society.”
