A round-up of mentions of University students and staff in the media during the past week.

 

Our Vice Chancellor Professor Nick Petford was a speaker at last week’s Times Higher Education Live Event. His comments about plans to reduce the university fees cap are quoted in the THES today (behind a paywall).

On Friday, our Senior Lecturer in Journalism, Kate Ironside appeared on BBC Three Counties radio explaining why she would advise the Prime Minister not to back out of television interviews (starts 56m).

The launch of our annual coding competition was featured in the Northamptonshire Telegraph on Friday.

Then, on Monday, BBC Radio Northampton reporter, Tom Percival went to one of the schools that’s won the previous three competitions (starts 1h 25m).

Student Gemma Robinson won the Katy Wright Award at the recent Northampton College Annual Awards, commended for juggling family life and three children with her Access to Science course, as reported in the Northants Chamber.

Creative Writing graduate Thomas Whitehouse returned to the BBC Radio Northampton studio to take part in the weekend’s newspaper review with host John Griff (link unavailable).
