The day after the first lectures of the new academic year, Pro-Vice Chancellor Alice Wilby, spoke to BBC Radio Northamptonshire about how we are welcoming students. She was joined later in the programme by Multimedia Sports Journalism student Tom Berry (pictured, with reporter James Grant) who talked about how he’s been settling in. British citizens report a “wave” of recent and overtly racist attacks. Discussing what could be fuelling this rise in several publications, including the Jamaican Inquirer, was UON Professor Paul Jackson.

Creative Film, Television and Digital Media Production students and staff created videos for the BBC Northamptonshire Make A Difference Awards, as reported by the Northamptonshire Telegraph.

Last year Dental Nursing students and academics delivered oral health education sessions to 2,169 school children. Their achievement was celebrated in the Northampton Chronicle & Echo, including a related research talk held in late September.
